Safina Center Fellow David Rothenberg performs digitally and on clarinet with composer and keyboardist Art Labriola—and also the sounds of insects and whales—at the Cold Spring Coffeehouse in Cold Spring, New York, at 7pm.
“Art Labriola, composer and keyboardist, has seen it all, and done it all. His work has garnered multiple awards including a Grammy, an Emmy, a Clio, a Peabody. He's composed music for video games like Tango of the Heart and Miss Universe Crowning Moment. He has scored slot machines and kids' programs including I Spy and the Wubbulous World of Doctor Seuss. It all started with his music for the horror film The Age of Insects (see photo above)
Tonight he will bring to the Coffeehouse his amazing collection of strange keyboard controllers and sounds, joined by David Rothenberg on clarinets, iPad, insects and whales.
The horror, the horror! Sing the Springtime Electric with this month's installment of the Hudson Line concert series.”
