Growing The Adventures of Pili in 2022

This year started afar; on an expedition to Antarctica aboard the National Geographic Resolution brought me to the land of king penguins, icebergs, and leopard seals. It was the first time I fully embraced technology as a catapult to connect with broader audiences.
Two important changes in our dissemination of information included Live broadcasts from the frozen Continent, along with an in-depth educational YouTube series in both English and Spanish.
As I type these words, I am researching for a new educational video series about the Amazon, as my next scheduled departure with National Geographic Expeditions / Lindblad Expeditions will take me to the Upper Amazon.
We have found YouTube to be the perfect platform to share Live shows raising awareness on endangered species such as the Harpy Eagle or the Ornate Titi. But also, a space to provide information to those who may benefit from our efforts.
As a result of an increase in the demand for our educational materials overseas, particularly in Colombia, we have created an official instructional video that sums up the process to request donated books; our mission; along with information about how it all began.
The target audiences for The Adventures of Pili include organizations, projects, and educators working with presently underserved groups including Indigenous Peoples; people with cognitive or physical disabilities; kids living in remote communities; children with a lack of access to resources, including those living in low-income rural areas and marginal suburban settings. As the human suffering that is tinting the news these days projects a giant umbrella of gloom above humanity, we, at The Adventures of Pili, try to bring inspiration to kids, one book at a time.
