A Look Inside the Minorities in Shark Sciences Sleepaway Summer Camp

By Safina Center Fellow Jasmin Graham

Safina Center Fellow and co-founder, president, and CEO of Minorities in Shark Sciences Jasmin Graham shares a video showcasing the MISS Sleepaway Summer Camp!

The camp is a free program for those belonging to groups historically excluded in STEM from ages 13-17, including gender minorities, racial/ethnic minorities, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and people from low income or underserved communities. Participants work hands-on with marine science and conduct their own experiments across a week long period. The program includes fishing, kayaking, field research, shark dissection, and more!
