Lori and Denise will dive into Denise’s decades-long work with a society of free-ranging dolphins in the Bahamas, what it means to observe dolphin etiquette when studying them (!), and her ground-breaking studies using machine learning and artificial intelligence to understand dolphin communication. They’ll also explore the issue of whether dolphins should be recognized as nonhuman persons with fundamental rights.
