Tuna, Albacore (BIN’NAGA MAGURO) – South Atlantic, Pole & Troll These fish contain levels of mercury or PCBs that may pose a health risk to adults and children.

Albacore Tuna are a migratory, schooling fish with a high reproductive rate. The abundance of Albacore Tuna is low in both the North and South Atlantic Ocean, and overfishing of Albacore Tuna is occurring in the South Atlantic.

Fishing with pole and troll gear is highly selective, resulting in minimal catches of non-target species. This type of gear also has little to no damage to bottom habitats.
