Bass, Striped (Suzuki) – U.S., Hook and Line
Striped Bass are a moderately growing, long-lived fish found along the Atlantic Coast of the U.S. and Canada. Since the collapse of the Striped Bass fishery in the 1980s, numbers have gradually increased due to successful management, and today Striped Bass have a high abundance throughout much of their range.
Striped Bass are an important recreational and commercial seafood species. When caught with hook and line, there are minimal affects on non-target species and bottom habitats.
