Windowpane Flounder are a fast growing species of flatfish found in the Northwest Atlantic from the Gulf of St. Lawrence to Florida.

Windowpane Flounder populations in southern New England and the Mid-Atlantic are healthy and are currently fished at an appropriate level.

Most Windowpane Flounder are caught by bottom trawls, which damage bottom habitats and also catch some depleted and endangered species, like sea turtles.
