July 13 @ 12:15 pm - 1:45 pm

Safina Center “Kalpana Chawla ‘Launchpad’ Fellow” Molly Adams’ Feminist Bird Club holds a bird walk as part of NYC Audubon’s Tern Fest with Annie Barry in Nolan Park on Governors Island, NY, NY, on Saturday, July 13, 2019, from 12:15 – 1:45pm.

Annie Barry will show the group the active Common Tern colony on nearby piers, as well as some other birding highlights of the island. Annie Barry has been birding and collecting data on Governors Island since 2008. She has also led numerous bird walks for NYC Audubon on the island, in Inwood Hill Park and other locations in the city.

Please bring binoculars if you have them, however pairs will be available to borrow, wear comfortable walking shoes, and bring a beverage to stay cool.

Walk is free but donations can be made on-site to NYC Audubon. Register for the event here.

The entire festival runs from 12 – 4pm, so please consider staying for a tour of our current artists in residence’s studios or talk to NYC Audubon’s conservation scientists about their work.
