Formerly a Safina Center Fellow—and before that a journalist in Russia and Europe, a novelist, and author of the New York Times Bestselling book Four Fish, author Paul Greenberg is partially supported by our Center as a visiting Writer in Residence. Paul will likely be finishing his new book this year. The Omega Principle is about fisheries for the smallest fishes and for Antarctic krill. By the billions, these tiniest, most basic links in the ocean food chain are caught mainly for processing into animal feeds and dietary supplements. Paul is already working with PBS’s Frontline and The New Yorker on parts of this story. The Omega Principle will follow Paul’s bestseller Four Fish and American Catch to create a trilogy on our fractured relationship with the sea.
